I've been thinking about reinstalling it, I know theres several packed 64 man servers still going, especially on wake island.

It's still a relatively popular game and I would play, but BF42 has problems with 64-bit systems. I had to reinstall XP Pro 32-bit on my dad's machine just so he could continue playing. I uninstalled it off my Vista 64-bit. With Vista 64-bit, we would get constant disconnects after a few minutes of play. Tried every piece of advice they had out there on the forums, but nothing worked. Ugh!

Anyway, my dad plays every day and has since that game came out. He still spends about 8 hours a day in Desert Combat. He goes by Low*Dog. His fave thing is being the gunner in the choppers. So, if you got some flight skills and want to do some heli-wars, he'll gun for ya. But don't expect him to fly. Lol. He never got into that part of it.

If not that, then what about 2142. Nothing wrong with that one and I think most of us have it.

I'll do either one, going to be installing something by this weekend though. I think 2142 has widescreen support now

Oh, I meant to tell you that BF42 is having problems with the game showing the game servers. You'l have to use something like QTracker to get the full list of servers. There's plenty to play on so long as you're patched up and have both Desert Combat .7 and Desert Combat Final installed. I think most servers are DC .7

I am so confused... how the hell do I patch my fresh install of 2142?

EA's support page recommends one thing, yet lists three or four others. I'm baffled.
