The ATI Catalyst 10.5a Hotfix provides resolution for the following issue:

* Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Long load times for new maps when using a Windows® 7 / Windows Vista® based system with an:
o ATI Radeon HD 4xxx series graphics card
o ATI Radeon HD 3xxx series graphics card
o ATI Radeon HD 2xxx series graphics card

[-link-]

You need 10.5 already installed. Edited Fri May 28 2010, 06:56PM

Holy Jeebus. I used to load maps in 15 to 30 seconds. Didn't think that was bad. With this Hotfix, I load maps in 1-5 seconds. Freakin' awesome!!!

Dude, idk what it is with you, the battlefield franchise, and drivers but it always seems like a god damned nightmare.

So basically, Installed 10.5 fine, installed 10.5a and got a monitor box saying input signal out of range, then the monitor got switched to secondary, as in having multiple monitors, and we couldnt do shit. had to boot in safe mode, and unfuck everything with driver sweeper, and re installed the 2nd time no problem.
