I feel like I'm an advertisement, but here goes. There is a very good deal on a power supply on ncixus.com until Sept 2nd, 2015. It is the EVGA Supernova 1050 GS. It is 80 Plus Gold rated, comes with a 7 YEAR warranty, and is Fully modular. You can read the johnnyGURU.com review here ( [-link-] ) The johnnyGURU tests showed this PS ran at almost Platinum levels. Anyway , you can get it here for $142 and free shipping (and then another $20 off for a mail in rebate to the manufacturer): [-link-] I had a problem with the site recognizing the free shipping, but I called NCIXUS and had no wait time. The guy who answered was super friendly and fixed the price immediately. (press 4 for sales, btw). I don't think you can beat this price. From the review on johnnyGURU, this PS is a good buy at $180. So, if you need one, or think you might need one, get one now. Warehouse supplies show only 28 in stock and I just snagged one. So, there ya go. The lead up to this purchase: My 850W PC Power and Cooling PS has been running hot lately, a sure sign it's on its way out. Heck, I've ran it almost constantly for the past 5 and a half years, and it was a refurb I picked up directly from PC P&S when they were still around. It's been a mighty good PS, but nothing lasts forever. |
