Lets posts tips and hints to make it to the end of the game. I'll start. STICK TOGETHER!!! Sometimes it is better to rush through together than scrounging for health. Remember when the specials die it takes about 30 seconds for them to respond. You can get a long ways in 30 seconds. An additional benefit is you can sometimes outrun and get ahead if the opposing player spawns behind. Also, try and keep your teammates alive, unless of course it is a bot, this game really emphasizes teamwork to finish. You will not make it solo, guaranteed!! Unless you are mooch but he doesn't count frackin Hacker. Post more hints.

STICK TOGETHER!!! i have a strange feeling that this post might be directly related to my game play the other day. !lol i just took a few steps to the left to get a gas and next thing i know you guys are gone far right. :O i must say it was fun until then. 8) Game does require extensive teamwork and to be on your guard at all times. game does gets too loud for some reason :) at times for my liking. also the way i play, to easy to do some team damages. but, i can see the appeal now that i played it some more. Wiz, believe it or not. I was not specifically talking about you. You are new to the game so all is forgiven. =) I figured that we should put some hints out there because even are more experienced clan members have not played as much left 4 dead as Mooch, jacket, Caffeine, etc... The PvP is a lot different experience than even campaign. In campaign, you can do a lot of searching and it does not hurt you, When you play 8vs8, it is best to rush and get as far as you can go. You get points by distance.

I'm new also. I'm learning though. Don't feel bad Wiz cause I feel like a detriment to the group as well. Friendly fire is really easy and it makes you aware of whats going on. You always need to check your fire in this game. It helps if everyone is watching a certain sector so were not all wasting ammo on the same zombie. Hard to do though considering how fast it moves along. I just try to keep an eye out for my team and see where they are shooting before I shoot. Not always possible though. |

Alright well, I'll just start spouting tips off in any random order: Rule #1 - Cardio...lol (I f you didn't see Zombieland, you won't get it) SURVIVOR TACTICS 1. Staying together. As Yellow already mentioned, staying together is probably the MOST important component of this game and if someone runs off that could destroy the whole team because all hell might break loose. 2. Figure out WHO's going to throw pipes/molotov's in what order. Too many times, I see 2 or 3 people throw a pipe when they get boomed on and end up wasting them. 3. Know WHEN to throw pipes/molotov' s. If there's just a few zombies, please don't chunk a perfectly good pipe. You might need it later for a situation much worse than that. 4. Say something! If you get pulled or pounced, don't mumble in the mic what's going on or even worse not saying anything at all. I'm sure by now, you know when you play with me, I'll let everyone know if I get pounced or whatever. I'll try to get to you as fast as I can as long as I know your getting pulled. ~ Cover your teamates' ass. Turn around to make sure everyone is running fast and no zombies are comming up on their 6. ~ Call the enemy out when you spot one. Let everyone know what you saw. ~ DO NOT STOP RUNNING. Only time you should have to stop is for a quick ammo/health break. If you see a smoker back there, leave him alone. Don't stop to shoot him. He's trying to get you to waste time. ~ Change it up a bit. If there's a certain route that people usually go, then it might not be a bad idea to give'em the old switcheroo. ~ Teamate #1 gets charged, Teamate #2 gets pulled the other direction, let Teamate #3 quickly pick the one he's going to save and you get the other. Too many times, I've seen 2 players go to help one person instead of splitting up to help both. This should be the only time you temporarily split up. It's overkill to have 2 people go and kill the smoker when your other friend is getting his ass pummeled into the ground. ~ Don't forget about those pills/stims! If things aren't looking good and you have a hord on you, take a break from the shotty and pop the pills. I'm bad about forgetting I have them in my inventory and I might go down because I just forgot to use them. INFEC TED TACTICS 5. When infected, try to attack all at once, if not, then at least in pairs. Sometimes, you can't wait another 30 seconds for your last teamate to spawn and you just gotta go, but try to get at least one more guy going with you. 6. Boomer Tactic #1 - After you vomit on them and the hord starts to die down, you may not get another chance to boom them. Don't try and wait to get them later unless you know for sure that they're going to be in that spot for a while. You're the slowest class and you not catching up with them if they get ahead of you. I try to wait till the hord starts dying down and then right before it's almost up, I get close to them to get a second boom from exploding on them. 7. Boomer Tactic #2 - Get close, but not too close. If you just vomited on them and feel like you need to get close, stay about 5 feet away and get ready to back up if they run at you. In doing this, your close enough to explode on them, but not close enough to melee away. Someone out of that group will probably shoot you. 8. Hunter Tactic - Height + Distance = Extra Pounce Damage. Get on a roof or up in a tree and the farther you pounce and the higher you are, you'll do instant damage upon impact up to 25dmg. That's 1/4 health gone just like that so try to work on that. 9. Smoker Tactic #1 - Try to always pull from behind or the side if you can. Anything to delay them some more to give your teamates more time to respawn. 10. Smoker Tactic #2 - Pull the NON-purple player. When half the team gets boomed, you have 2 purple's and 2 greens or whatever. Hunters, Jockeys, and Chargers focus on one green while you get the other. The 2 purples will have so much of the hord on them and be temporarily blinded, they're practically helpless. 11. Boomer Tactic #1 - Spawn ahead of the team. NEVER BEHIND. You're too slow to catch up half the time. 12. Boomer Tactic #2 - Plan ahead as to where you might spawn. If your teamates randomly attack without letting you know, you gotta be ready to hide, spawn, and boom as quickly as possible. 13. Boomer Tactic #3 - Try to avoid spawning too early. You're loud as hell and they'll hear you a mile away. Spawn at the last second or wait till a teamate can distract them while you make your move. 14. Charger Tactic #1 - Try to charge close. When you charge 50 feet away, chances of you hitting them are slim. Plus, when you hit them close, you run much farther away from the group. 15. Jockey Tactic - The recharge on your primary attack is very quick so if you get in a sticky situation, use it and go side to side until your safe. 16. Tank Tactic #1 - Go for the cars. This may take some practice but once you get it down, it can really do some damage. Hitting a survivor with a car is an instant incap. 17. Tank Tactic #2 - Try not to attack alone. 4 survivors with shotguns will take you down in seconds. You have time. If your bar goes down, hit 1 survivor, bar is full again, back off if you need to or don't have any other infected support. 18. Spitter Tactic #1 - Most of you probably know this, but if you see them get in a closet or any small room for that matter, get'em in there as fast as you can. 19. Spitter Tactic #2 - As corny as this sounds, DON'T BE A HERO. Spitter does some insane damage so keep her alive at all costs. If you die, your team may not get her for another couple spawns and that could really hurt you in the end. I don't recommend Jihad runs, but you just have to use your judgement on that one. If they're getting to close to the saferoom, you may have to. 20. Spitter Tactic #3 - When spitting in a small room, don't spit to the corner of the room where they are sitting. Instead, spit like 5 feet away from the corner so if they try and run, they'll take more damage running out of there because more of the floor is covered with "goo". That's all I got for now... The goal in 4 vs 4 is distance. Leave the zombies alone if they are not bothering you. Zombies behind you and ignoring are zombies that you don't have to deal with. You get no points for killing them so leave them alone.

It then counts how many zombies you killed and whoever killed more, gets extra points. |

Infected tactic - Try to attack the person that is not boomed on. If you are lucky you can pull a person and you can get extra hits on them. When they are boomed, if you have not noticed, they can't see crap and you can possibly get someone down. |
