Might be coming to an end...hopefully .

As Fast knows *though I was a total dick and didn't respond to his queries about Eve*. I've been playing EvE online. I know I know I said MMOs are not for me. But this one has proven to be different. For one my character's skills progress even when I'm not logged in...that and it's a spaceship game with a completely player driven economy. But it's the fact that I don't have to play to get better that made the difference. I will answer all questions about the game if anyone wants to know.

Fast it's a really fun game, half the game revolves around player controlled territories and the constant fight to hold those solar systems. The other half revolves around more nonpvp activities (yet it is still possible to get ganked if one is careless). There's a 14day trial period that anyone can try and I can give (I think just one person a month) a 30 day trial. It's a difficult game, with an almost mind boggling amount of depth to it. The game has been around for a long while so you don't need to upgrade your rig...if you ran CoD4 you're gold.

Alright now for the other reason I've not been around.

I've been at boot camp attending classes to get various computer certifications.

I'm almost done with my MSCE, MCP, and Security+ certifications. ..(it's a total of something around 6 certifications) .

Anyway after this I plan on looking for a job and getting married to Courtney, my g/f of 2+ years.

The job part will be somewhat difficult, given the economy and what not. Nonetheless, I have do have some "in's" and one guy who is taking the bootcamp with me has offered to give me a recommendation for the company he works for. So it may not prove to be such a large obstacle...I will have to wait and see about that.

Should finding a job prove difficult, I will go back to school and take a computer science major...my folks have laid out a really sweet deal for me if I go back to school and finish up they will help take care of me and courtney till I graduate. Effectively my job would be going to and doing well in school...it's a hard deal to pass up. Logically the choice should be easy...but emotionally it's complicated, the idea of me working and attending school has also been pondered a bit. Right now I have tests everyday in bootcamp so I can't really think too much on it =\

So, In a sense this is an update on my status.

But I plan on playing BF:BC2. When time permits. Really miss the crew on TS...got a new headset that rocks for xmas, and got some new video cards that need a game that can push them around like a bully. Looking forward to fragging with you guys.

Next up...my pistol. I got it back from Sig Sauer no burrs on the slide this time, took it to the range and fired 250 rounds through it. Accuracy was okay given that I've only shot it a total of twice. I wasn't gripping it correctly either I later found out.

Anyway I found some burrs had formed on the slide while I was cleaning it. Luckily these ones did not gall or scratch off the anodizing on the frame. I feel these are a non issue and comparisons of the pistol frame with pictures I posted here support this opinion. I will say this. She's much improved in the feel of the action thanks to the new slide that sig replaced for me free of charge, but she still needs work. I plan on sending her to a gunsmith. GGI to fix that. Afterwords I plan on sending it to CCR Refinishing to get it refinished so that the part of the gun frame where the anodizing is made vulnerable will not suffer from the humid climate that Houston is known for. Both have insane amounts of praise from the Sig community on [-link-] And are reasonably priced.

Anyway that's all there is to tell right now.

I hope everyone else is faring well. I gotta get back to the book pounding!

It's all good A-L. I know you got the real world to deal with. Catching up on email and messages can be a big pain sometimes.

Goo d luck to you and Courtney. I'm happy you've found someone that will treat you good.

I'm not even going to try Eve at this point. BC2 is what I'll be getting. I can't afford to get STO right now. So, maybe awhile down the road, I'll try it.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll do fine no matter what you choose to do. The job market isn't all that bad. Don't rely on a temp service though. They're the ones having the problems. If you want a job, you have to do it the old fashioned way. That's what I did and ended up with an awesome data entry job in the medical field :)
