Ok, now I've heard a lot about this new G9x. Supposedly, it's one of the best on the market right now and I could use some opinions. I know everyone says "well it just depends on your personal preferences", but that gets me no where. I want to know what YOU think about the G9x. It has a much higher dpi than the 518, but the 518 has a perfect feel to it where the G9x looks a little small. That's just me. On the flip side, I've heard a lot of 518 users who switched to the G9x and absolutely love it. |

Well, the 518 is optical. I still use mine, but not on my gaming machine. It developed a problem with one of the main mouse buttons and I couldn't use it for gaming any more. I still use my X7 Laser mouse for gaming. But I use my MX Revolution wireless for typical surfing and perusing of the internet. It's one of the best wireless around, and even it has latency problems...and I have no wireless devices (not a cellphone or anything) that can cause the hiccups I still get using it. Grr! Anyway, I couldn't tell you about the G9 at all. Never used it. I heard the Sidewinder is quite good for gaming though. You might want to look into it. There's some pretty good prices going around right now. Just keep a watch out for that christmas sale and snag whatever pops up. hehe. |
