I installed the Dirt 2 demo yesterday. During installation, the demo contacted microsoft and updated through windows update. I thought nothing of it really. The demo installed fine and I played it. Amazing graphics, btw. Anyway, I restarted my computer shortly after I played the demo. My computer then went through a restart of OS updating...whic h was whatever the Dirt 2 demo had MS install. Whereupon, my computer crashed. Stalled out during the update and wouldn't boot into windows other than in safe mode. Ugh! I had a good restore point and my computer is fine now. But I thought I might warn everyone about the Dirt 2 demo installing MS updates, one of which is a DirectX 11 file. If it hadn't been for that, the demo of the game seemed very nice. Some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a game. |
